AMAC at ICFF
As I was preparing to exhibit at the 2012 International Contemporary Furniture Fair, many people (mostly friends and family) were curious about why AMAC would be at a furniture show. Well, maybe more incredulous than curious.
ICFF has become one of the most important design shows in the United States, and we're proud to be exhibiting among some of the most creative, forward thinking designers and architects in the world. While furniture is a core component, designers and manufacturers have found a place at ICFF in which to introduce all sorts of products that share a common thread: good design.
I'm writing this a few hours before the show opens, just as we put our finishing touches to our new amac1960.com website. In general, I would discourage anyone to both open a tradeshow booth and an ecommerce website on the same day. But this work has given me the opportunity to think hard about where AMAC has been over the last five decades, and where we are headed.
In that spirit, I would like to give a shout out to Eric Pfeiffer and his team at Pfeiffer Lab, who have been instrumental in helping us reimagine AMAC's future.
